Hillphoenix a leading manufacturer of display cases, refrigeration and power systems, and walk-ins, with local locations in Conyers and Covington, Georgia have finalized plans to consolidate and expand their operations in Conyers, Georgia. Hillphoenix will move their manufacturing and support from multiple locations in Rockdale and Newton counties to a new 450,000+ square foot facility being built in Rockdale County by Ashley Capital at the intersection of Gees Mill and Sigman Roads.
Hillphoenix will transfer a number of jobs from Newton to Rockdale county and consolidate operations from three buildings into the new location. Close cooperation between the City of Conyers, Rockdale County, the Conyers Rockdale Economic Development Council and Rockdale County Public Schools proved to Hillphoenix executives that consolidating their operations in Conyers and Rockdale County was the best solution for them at this time.
One key factor in the decision was an agreement with the Rockdale County Water Authority to monitor the new facility’s water usage as it enters and exits the plant to potentially reduce sewage costs as water consumed in the manufacturing process would not be billed to the company as sewage output.
