Education Site Opportunities

The Verde Group, LLC is actively seeking to compliment the Rockdale Career Academy with additional Higher Education facilities.

The Verde Group is in the process of completing the Master Plan for a 650-acre land area in Conyers, Georgia known as Almand Creek. The primary development site fronts on the south side of Interstate Hwy 20 between the West Avenue exit, Parker, Flat Shoals and Johnson Roads. During the planning process the owner Four A International, LLC sold 50 acres to the Rockdale County School Board for the Rockdale Career Academy which opened in 2006.

Additional sites have been set aside for educational needs from Elementary Schools through College, as needed, by the Rockdale County School System and the Community as the 20-25 year build-out progresses.

Three potential Higher Education sites within the Master Plan are envisioned.

  • Districts IX or X and adjacent to the Rockdale Career Academy with frontage on Flat Shoals Road
  • District III of the Town Center and adjacent to a proposed Transit Bus Terminal & parking deck with frontage on Commerce Drive
  • District XI adjacent to the Town Center with frontage on Commerce Drive
